Boyd Insurance & Investments has been providing personal and commercial insurance with investment expertise in the Gulf Coast of Florida for more than 45 years.

At Boyd Insurance, we make it our mission to provide you with Protection for Life, with a full scale of insurance and investment products for all aspects of life. Our team of advisors has personal connections and meaningful relationships with clients, spanning generations.

Our commitment to providing protection for life in Manatee County began nearly five decades ago. In 1974, Wilbur Boyd recognized that the road to success had to be paved with exceptional customer service and quality. With a truly inspired entrepreneurial spirit, he founded Boyd Insurance & Investments on that premise. In the mid-70s he was joined by Jim Boyd and Pat Osburn, who soon carried on the family business together as co-owners. And today, the third generation, Austin Boyd, carries the torch into the future as our company President.

We’re investing in our community, for future generations.

Our team prides itself on involvement across a number of nonprofit organizations that make Manatee County a better place to live, work and play. Boyd Insurance team members are Leadership Manatee Alumni, past Chairs of Boards of Directors for high-impact organizations, and just generally wonderful people.

We are elated to introduce Michael Richter and his team in Bristol County as our Boyd North Florida Division. An hour west of Tallahassee along State Road 20, in a fully-renovated office space, Michael is proud and prepared to spread the Boyd experience and impact further than ever.
